DEEP END (15 MARCH)

Deep End is a coming of age story about a young Indian woman, living in Durban where sticking to culture and tradition comes crashing up against wanting to be a part of the bigger world. Sunitha Patel has lived her ‘daddy’s’ dream all her life and now wants to find her own way in the world, even if it means making waves in her society. Through her desire to become a surfer, she gets into conflict with her father who has different visions for her future. But by finding herself on her surfboard, she finds love and even herself.

WONDER PARK (15 MARCH)
June, an optimistic, imaginative girl, discovers an incredible amusement park called Wonderland hidden in the woods. The park is full of fantastical rides and talking, funny animals – only the park is in disarray. June soon discovers the park came from her imagination and she’s the only one who can fix it, so she bands together with the animals to save this magical place and bring back the wonder in Wonderland.

FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY (15 MARCH)

In 2000 Norwich, England, 10-year-old Zak Bevis is engrossed by the WWF (now WWE) King of the Ring pay-per-view event until his younger sister Saraya changes the channel to her favourite program, Charmed. At 18, competing under the ring name “Britani Knight”, Saraya and her brother “Zak Zodiac” help their parents train prospective wrestlers while working toward their own promotion.

DIE STROPERS (15 MARCH)

South Africa, Free State region, an isolated stronghold to the Afrikaans white ethnic minority culture. In this conservative farming territory obsessed with strength and masculinity, Janno is different, secretive, emotionally frail. One day his mother, fiercely religious, brings home Pieter, a hardened street orphan she wants to save, and asks Janno to make this stranger into his brother. The two boys start a fight for power, heritage and parental love.

ESCAPE ROOM (22 MARCH)

Six strangers are given mysterious black boxes with tickets to an immersive escape room for a chance to win tons of money. Being locked in several rooms with extreme conditions, they discover the secrets behind the escape room and must fight to survive and to find a way out.

DESTROYER (22 MARCH)

Destroyer follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.

THE FRONT RUNNER (29 MARCH)

Gary Hart, a senator from Colorado, is the widely accepted frontrunner in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. After losing the 1984 nomination to vice-president Walter Mondale, Hart decides to run for President of the United States. At one point during his campaign, against the will of his manager Bill Dixon, Hart challenges the press and public to “follow him around” while he’s not campaigning on weekends. This, however, will prove to be a big mistake.

US (29 MARCH)

In order to get away from their busy lives, the Wilson family takes a vacation to Santa Cruz, California with the plan of spending time with their friends, the Tyler family. On a day at the beach, their young son Jason almost wanders off, causing his mother Adelaide to become protective of her family. That night, four mysterious people break into Adelaide’s childhood home where they’re staying. The family is shocked to find out that the intruders look like and talk like them, only with grotesque appearances.
