LGBTQ+ marches for equality

Members of the LGBTQ+ Community gathered on Saturday 29 June at Gugu Dlamini Park, at the Durban CBD for Durban Pride which celebrated legal equality for the South African Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer + (LGBTQ+) communities; remembering the lives lost to hate crimes, discrimination and stigma; and expressing resistance to and outrage over violence against the LGBTQ+ community.

They called for an end to violence targeted at members of LGBTQ+ communities.
Despite South Africa’s progressive laws, the LGBTQ+ community continues to live in fear due to attacks and killings.
